Yay! You’ve gotten your new sellers to agree to paint over some of those outdated wall colors. What colors are considered neutral nowadays? They generally fall into two categories: warm (browns and beiges) and cool (gray tones).
Here’s a list for you to recommend to your sellers; I’ve limited the list to Sherwin Williams and Benjamin Moore. A suggestion for you is to visit these stores and pick up plenty of color chips of each and keep them in your car’s glove compartment, ready to share with sellers. And while some are grays and some are beiges, none clash, so recommend away:
Sherwin Williams (SW):
- SW Agreeable Gray
- SW Repose Gray
- SW Alabaster (off white with a light touch of “butter”)
- SW Snowbound (off white with a hint of cream)
- SW Accessible Beige
- SW Alpaca
- SW Sedate Gray
Benjamin Moore:
- OC-17 White Dove (great for trim)
- HC-172 Revere Pewter
- HC-27 Balboa Mist
- OC-65 Chantilly Lace
- OC-26 Silver SatinWhy am I ‘giving away’ information like this? One of my goals as owner of StagingCraft is to help you best serve your sellers. Of course, I want to partner with you, too! And the cost of a one-time Walk-and-Talk consultation with me costs less than painting just one room. That’s right—a one-room price for advice that will improve every room in your sellers’ properties (AND the exterior). Call me to help you secure higher prices for sellers and higher commissions for you.
